Life at Camp Eagle is most always exciting. Today it rained about 4.5 inches in a matter of a few hours. This lead to our river flooding. Most of the people here have never seen it flood like this. We lost a couple bike bridges, a kayak, picnic tables, and our 5000 pound wooden structure that once had a slide, climbing wall and stairs on it! We were able to get the blob and other water items out of the river in time. Three people made it across the river on a bike bridge before it was taken away, but then they were stranded on the other side of the river. It took them 4.5 hours to finally make it back to camp! Also, we were standing there watching the rapids and all the things float down the river when we saw five deer go by! We yelled and cheered as they went through the rapids, amazed that they were keeping their noses out of the water! It was crazy to watch! The picture is of our waterfall and usually the water is only ankle deep!
Not only do we have floods at Camp Eagle, but we also have crazy things flying around. Last night Scott and I were watching a movie we when saw something fly around our living room! I immediately got under a cover as Scott crawled along the floor dodging this bat! He threw a blanket at it and stunned it. He trapped it in a tupperware and after debating whether to eat it or not, he finally let it go outside!
Last week Scott cut his hair into a mohawk. I think it looks great and so did the neighbor kids. So the other day Andrew and Aiden stopped by at lunch dying to get their hair cut into mohawks! They were so excited. Everything that they did that night they did it being careful not to ruin their mohawks! It was great and Scott loved it too.

Oh, my goodness! That's some crazy rainfall and flooding! The banks are pretty high there though so it didn't make it to your bldgs and stuff, right? I would have laughed if you ate that bat!!! And, yes, I do love the hair too.
